Welcome to the Infinity Academy. The Academy exists for 2 purposes, redress and transformation. In the past, Gaming was a niche industry which only the privileged had access to. As time went, gaming slowly became more accessible to previously disadvantaged groups. However, this access was always long after the hype had passed and the privileged gamers had already moved on to the latest titles. On top of the fact that previously disadvantaged groups were always behind, non-male gamers were stereotyped out of the gaming market. The industry labeled a typical gamer as a geeky male, which is a very inaccurate representation. Gaming is diverse and is for everyone
Through the Academy we aim to educate Members or prospective members about Gaming, with a main focus on our offered games. The academy is more than a learning platform, it is a material representation of our redress and transformation efforts in the Industry. Gaming has previously divided society, we aim to unite through gaming and through transformation. In the Academy, we teach values like Ubuntu, which should resonate well within all of us especially with 20+ years after democracy.
The idea behind the Academy is simple. The Academy is made up of tutorial videos explaining the basics of gaming. There are also tutorial videos that teach members how to play each game we offer. Members can join classes online and follow their classes pace, or can work at their own pace. Being a member of the academy offers many benefits. As a member you have access to free practice sessions during the week for the game or games you participate in. You get to meet other members and can form friendships and develop beneficial relationships.
